Crisis Center of Comal County is dedicated to providing an environment in which survivors of rape and sexual abuse feel safe. The general purpose of the Crisis Center of Comal County web site is to provide information and referrals for our site visitors.
Maintaining your confidentiality and anonymity is very important to us, therefore, we have taken special precautions to protect your identity and confidentiality as you access our online support service. This service does not allow us to initiate direct contact with you, thus maximizing your confidentiality.
Server Records
The web server collects anonymous information about each visitor’s access of the web site. Information such as pages requested, date and times of request, and Internet network addresses are recorded for security and for statistical tracking. These records do not contain email addresses, names, passwords, nor any other personally identifiable information.
Cookies
The Crisis Center of Comal County web site does not make use of “cookies.”

Use any of the free, web-based email accounts so that your email communications are not stored on your computer. You can create an account specifically for your private and confidential communications.
Carefully choose a password for your email account and make sure it is something you can remember. Do not write the password down. Do not share it with anyone.
Use internet facilities available at places like public libraries.
Use a pseudonym (a pen name) for your email communications. Do not use your real name.
